Tears In Heaven

In Heaven, I think, there may be tears,

but not our sorrow, and not from fears.

The tears that I see are tears of joy

for each man and woman, girl and boy

who looks at the world, and turns to face

the Lord, who gives us a resting place.

Jesus shed tears when Lazarus died.

He looked at the tomb, and then He cried.

The tears are bitter for those who choose

their worldly treasures, and thereby lose

the greatest treasure the soul can see…

The home that Jesus made you and me.

The Holy Spirit may cry today

For those who listen, … and turn away.

While we are living, we have a choice.

When we choose Him, then angels rejoice.

Don’t give the Spirit reason to cry.

Trust Jesus as Lord before you die.

There’s tears in Heaven, but not our sorrow.

They’re tears of joy that death can’t borrow.

When we get to Heaven we won’t cry.

We’ll never feel pain, … and we won’t die.
