Invited To A Party

I’m invited to a party,

but I can’t decide what to wear.

Do I need to buy new clothes?

What will I do about my hair?

There’s going to be a wedding,

and I’m invited by the King.

His only Son is the bridegroom,

and I don’t have a gift to bring.

He said to come and bring yourself.

“I will give you what you require.

I don’t need you to stock my shelf.

Your heart and love is my desire.”

I won’t worry what I should wear.

I know the King. He will provide,

for after all, I must be there,

as just one member of the Bride.

The bridegroom clothes me with His love,

His righteousness, glory, and grace.

And when he calls me up above,

praise God, I’ll see him face to face
