I got an e-mail
late last night
That made me
feel I was all right.
It was titled
“A Good-Night Touch”.
It made me
think, perhaps too much.
I’ll try to
write my feelings down,
But you may
think I’m just a clown.

How can we touch
from miles away?
By simple
thoughts, and words that say
I care for you
some special way,
And share with
you a thought today.
I wish, indeed,
it were the touch
My heart and
mind desire so much.

You have touched
so specially,
My heart and
mind will never be
As they had been
before you came;
And I don’t
even know your name.
I want you near
so very much.
My heart wants
more than CYBER TOUCH.

We touch each
other tenderly,
Heart to heart,
but we cannot see
Each other’s
face because of miles.
We cannot see
the other’s smiles.
Through the
distance we miss so much
When all we have
is CYBER TOUCH.

It’s not as
warm, it seems to me
When two folks
touch by means of “e”.
I don’t demean
the role it played.
Because of it, I
think, you stayed.
Because you
stayed I owe it much,
This wondrous
thing called CYBER TOUCH.

My darling now
it's time to say,
I dream that we
will touch some day.
Body to body,
you and me,
Not with
letters, and not with “e”
That’s the one
I want so much.
It’s so much
more than CYBER TOUCH.
